Koliah Bourne is a Toronto-based freelance production accountant for film and TV. Prior to getting started in the industry, she completed the Schulich Executive Education Production Accounting for Film & Television program, the Entertainment Partners Clerk and Payroll Accounting course, and three years of the University of Ottawa Bachelor of Commerce, specializing in accounting.
She has also worked at the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA), Canada's trade association for independent media producers, where she caught the bug for the film and TV industry, working in a number of administrative roles in their Toronto and Ottawa offices. Prior to this, she held a number of finance, governance, and administrative positions in a number of industries, including live theatre, concert promotions, and government.
Aside from working as a production accountant, she is also the co-founder of the Toronto-based film and TV production company SHIFTER Entertainment, alongside her husband Kevin, which has produced everything from digital series for CBC to short films. Their latest project titled A Date In The Life, for which Koliah is Lead Accountant and Executive Producer, is an unscripted reality series set to air later this year on Bell Fibe TV1.
