
Koliah Bourne is co-founder, executive producer, and lead production accountant at the Toronto-based TV. film, and digital content production company, SHIFTER Entertainment. Prior to getting started in the industry, she completed the Schulich Executive Education Production Accounting for Film & Television program, and the Entertainment Partners Clerk and Payroll Accounting course.
She spent time as a freelance Production Accountant having worked on a number of feature films and TV shows with budgets up to $5 million before becoming a member of the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC). She has also assisted both Canadian and international companies with tax credit prep/submission.
Prior to pivoting into production accounting, she worked at the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA), Canada's trade association for independent media producers, where she caught the bug for the film and TV industry, working as Office Administrator and Operations Assistant to the VP of Finance in their Toronto and Ottawa offices. She has also held finance, governance, and administrative positions in a number of industries, including live theatre, concert promotions, and government.
She juggles her duties as a production accountant with running the Toronto-based film and TV production company SHIFTER Entertainment, alongside her husband Kevin, which has produced everything from films and reality series, to digital series and docuseries for CBC. Their latest project titled A Date In The Life, for which Koliah was Lead Accountant and Executive Producer, is an unscripted reality series released nationally on Bell Fibe TV1 and Bell On Demand.
Koliah's latest role is serving as an accountant on the CBS/Paramount Tier-A series Boston Blue. currently in production in Toronto.
